The Trial of Old Drum
A golden retriever is accused of killing a sheep and threatened with death, but he is found innocent and lives.
High Bred, the chuck wagon cook's cat, is killed in battle. We don't see it die but we see it lying dead afterward.
Dead, skinned animals mysteriously appear throughout the village. It is unclear what kind of animals they are.
Near the end of the film, the villain is attacked by a German Shepherd. He beats it several times with a cane, it is heard whimpering a bit, and is then silent. While the cane strikes can be heard, they are not seen connecting with the dog's body.
A man kills a cow with a cleaver and when Lynx the dog tries to intervene, the man kills him with the cleaver as well. A cat appears but does not die. Deer are shot and killed for food. A kitten is killed.
The War of the Roses
A cat is run over by a car and killed. It is implied that a dog has been killed and made into food though the dog is later seen alive.
The Warrior's Way
We do not see it happen, but it is implied that a child kills a puppy with a sword.
The Wedding Ringer
A dog bites someone, gets lockjaw, and is later seen with a bandage on its snout.
The Witch (2016)
Dog (Fowler) dies in a very painful way, though shown very briefly.
The only animals to die are some evil witches who are turned into mice and killed, so we're not counting them. Two boys are also turned into mice; they don't die, though one has the tip of his tail chopped off (it doesn't seem to bother him much). A boy has two real pet mice, William and Mary, who don't die either. A witch's cat is seen as well as a snake and a frog; none of them are harmed.
Offscreen, a grizzly bear (who had been somewhat friendly to Logan in an earlier scene) is shot with a poisoned arrow, causing it to go crazy and kill the men who shot it. Logan comes across the bear as it is dying of the poison and we see him put it out of its misery. Other animals that are seen but come to no harm include a cat at a love hotel and a goat (and very briefly another cat) at a veterinarian's office.
Pet deer is shot and killed after first being shot and wounded.
This Is the End
Near the beginning of the film we see a photo of a pet dog and are told it is incontinent. Near the end of the film the dog is very briefly seen (with no signs of incontinence). Arguments could be made for giving the film a :'-( but since nothing bad happens to the dog and it is last seen under happy circumstances, we feel :-) best describe the film.
Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic
Lucha Singh the golden retriever and Sher Singh the guinea pig (referred to as a hamster in the subtitles) come to no harm.
There is a shot of a cat being suffocated in the aftermath of the blast.
