A guinea pig dies from being impaled. After supposedly biting someone, a dog is nearly hung to death and then euthanized.

The Cat from Outer Space
The cat/alien, Jake, is not hurt and does not die. The worst that happens to him is getting tranquilized by a vet. With his powers Jake freezes a guard dog but says that it will wear off in twenty minutes.
The dog Valentine does not die. At one point it appears he has been hit by a car but it turns out he was faking. There is a scene where a horse is bloodlessly cut into slices by sheets of glass but since it is a fantasy/dream sequence we're not counting it as a death.

Animated. Douglas, the prehistoric equivalent of a dog (more of a dog-lizard thing) falls off of a tree ledge while trying to learn the roll over trick. It appears as though Douglas has fallen to his death but later he reappears, unharmed.

The Dark Knight
In several scenes, attacking dogs are hit and thrown by Batman.
The Day of the Dolphin
Two dolphins, Alpha and Beta, are trained for good purposes but then stolen and used for an attempted assassination plot. Both dolphins survive, though that doesn't necessarily mean the movie has a happy ending.
