Kingsman: The Secret Service
The main character is ordered to shoot and kill a dog that he has raised but he refuses to do it. We then hear a gunshot from the next room, leading us to believe that another dog was not so lucky. However, we later learn that the guns were loaded with blanks, so the other dog was not actually killed.
A herd of forest animals are seen running on fire during the apocalypse.
Two feral dogs fight each other ferociously. In a slaughterhouse we see dead, bloody and decapitated cows, some of which are showing being cut up.
La La Land
A lighthearted romp where neither animals nor people are in danger.
Lad: A Dog
Little Lad is killed in a fire. Lad, Lady and Wolf all live.
Lady and the Tramp
Animated. A dog appears to have been killed after chasing a dog-catcher's wagon but it turns out that he only injured his leg. An evil, non-pet rat is killed.
Lassie Come Home
A dog (not Lassie) is killed while defending her owner from thieves.
An offscreen pig is shot and killed.
Leafie, a Hen Into the Wild
Animated. There are implications of animal cruelty and bad conditions in the egg farm. Leafie pretends to be dead at the beginning. Wanderer the wild duck and his mate are both killed by the one-eyed weasel. Greenie the duck is believed to be dead for a moment, but survives. Leafie is eaten by the weasel at the end of the film.
Left Behind (2014)
A dog, still wearing its leash, is seen whining next to an empty pile of clothes on the sidewalk. We don't see any harm come to it.
Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde
Many dogs appear in this film but none die. One dog is seen at an animal testing facility but we do not see her harmed and by the end of the film she has been rescued.
