It's a Disaster
A dog is seen in one scene near the beginning of the film and doesn't come to any harm. There is mention of a cat living in the home but it is never seen.

The stolen dog walked by Kevin Costner's character in one scene lives and is not harmed, though we are left not knowing if it is ever returned to its owner.
Zorro gets shot after disobeying.
Neither Pilot the dog nor any of the numerous horses that appear come to any harm.
Pippin the Dog enjoys fetching his stick until he is presumably eaten by Jaws the Shark.
Jock of the Bushveld
Short version: Jock the dog dies at the end. Long version: As a puppy Jock is saved from being drowned in a bucket. A German Shepherd (not Jock) is apparently killed off-screen by a baboon. An alligator is shot and speared to death. Jock the dog fights a baboon; Jock comes out okay but the baboon is injured. Jock is injured when an antelope kicks him but survives. An ox is shot and killed. Jock is shot and killed when he is mistaken for another dog that is killing chickens. The chicken-killing dog is seen dead (apparently killed by Jock).
An alien dog is kicked and hit but doesn't appear hurt afterward. It appears throughout the movie and is still alive at the end.
John Dies at the End
The main character's dog, Bark Lee, jumps into a giant evil eye creature carrying a mini atomic bomb in it's mouth and dies saving the world. Later, the dog's gravestone reads: Mankind's best friend.
Bad guys knock out the main character and then bash in the head of his Beagle puppy, Daisy. The main character awakes to find the dead puppy beside him and sets out to get revenge.
John Wick: Chapter 2
The dog killed in the previous movie is mentioned, but no dogs are harmed in this one.
Johnny English Reborn
A cat is accidentally knocked off a windowsill. It looks as though he fell in to a wood chipper and died, but a few moments later he is returned unharmed. Someone accidentally sits on him as well but he's not hurt.
The dog Jonah Hex rescues does not die.
Journey to the Center of the Earth (1959)
Gertrude, a pet duck who accompanies her owner on the journey to the center of the earth, is killed and eaten. Her death happens off-screen; all that is seen are some bloody feathers.
A pig is killed and butchered.
No dog dies, but rodeo animals are treated in the customary fashion.
A cow and a goat are both eaten by dinosaurs. We see three dinosaurs die: one gallimimus and two veliociraptors. A dog appears for a few seconds at a restaurant in Costa Rica. No other pets are seen.
